Geographic information system (GIS)

The Claiborne Parish Police Jury Meetings are held on the first Wednesday after the first Sunday each month beginning at 9 AM. Agendas are presented the day before the Wednesday meeting. Meeting Minutes require approval by Jury members prior to presentation and will be available thereafter.

CONSENT AGENDA:
  1. Approval of the January 11, 2012 regular meeting minutes.
  2. Payment of the January 2012 bills as approved by the Claims Committee.
  3. Request from Tommy Sanders, in a letter dated January 13, 2012, requesting use of the Court House square for the second annual Cystic Fibrosis fund raiser on May 5, 2012.
REGULAR AGENDA:
  1. Formal recognition of the new Russellville Historic Marker on Hwy 9 in Athens, LA
  2. Resolution 2012-002 - FY 2011 LCDBG Public Facilities Application Claiborne Parish Police Jury and the South Claiborne Water System
  3. Resolution 2012-003 - FY 2011 LCDBG Public Facilities Application Claiborne Parish Police Jury and the Leatherman Creek Water System
  4. Request from Claiborne Parish Hospital Service District No. 1, in a letter dated January 17, 2012, requesting the reappointment of Mr. Bob McDaniel to a 5 (five) year term that expires on 12/31/2016.
  5. Request from Mr. Eric Holley, in a letter dated January 12, 2012, requesting the closing of a portion of Pitman Road.
  6. Request from Road Superintendent Tommy Durrett for merit raises for the following Hwy Dept personnel - Truck Driver Randy Crittenden $0.25 per hour, Truck Driver Greg Buggs $0.50 per hour, Truck Driver Todd Brown $0.25 per hour and Foreman Eric Kennedy $0.25 per hour - all effective with the payroll period beginning February 16, 2012
  7. Announcement of the date for the sale of surplus adjudicated properties.
  8. Recommendations from the Buildings & Grounds Committee.
  9. Recommendations from the Road Committee.
  10. Mr. Donnie Williams - request to address the Jury concerning a dog problem (leash law)
  11. Mr. Danny Mills - request to address Police Jury concerning actions taken at the January 11, 2012 meeting regarding the Claiborne Parish Fire District #3 Board.
  12. Resignation of Mr. Eddie Bailey from the Claiborne Parish Fire District #3 Board effective January 23, 2012.
  13. Resignation of Mr. Alan Fanning from the Claiborne Parish Fire District #3 Board effective January 24, 2012.
  14. Resignation of Mr. Freddy Crump from the Claiborne Parish Fire District #3 Board effective January 24, 2012.
  15. Submission of the following candidates to serve on the Claiborne Parish Fire District #3 Board - Mr. Matt Reeder, Mr. Rusty Durham, Mr. Justin Childress and Mr. Cameron Goodwin.

Notice of Building & Grounds Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Buildings & Grounds Committee has been called for the afternoon of Monday, January 30, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Police Jury Complex located at 507 West Main Street in Homer, LA.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the following issues with certain Parish owned properties –

  • Update on the construction and remodeling of the Claiborne Drug Building for use by the D.A.
  • Update on the repairs at the CID Building under the LGAP grant
  • Discussion of shelter for equipment storage at the Hwy Barn
  • Awnings for the back of the CPPJ Complex
  • Any other Buildings and Grounds issues

Notice of Road Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Road Committee has been called for the afternoon of Monday, January 30, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Police Jury Complex located at 507 West Main Street in Homer, LA.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the following issues with certain Parish owned properties –

  • Continued discussion of possible change to the Parish’s road access ordinance
  • Any other road and administration issues
