RESOLUTION 2010-009

WHEREAS the Claiborne Parish Police Jury, by Legislative Act in 1995, created the

Claiborne Parish Hospital Service District No. Three, a parish wide hospital service district.

WHEREAS the Claiborne Parish Hospital Service District No. Three is managed and administered by board of nine (9) members, two (2) at-large members from Claiborne Parish, two (2) physicians practicing within Claiborne Parish and five (5) additional members from each Police Jury district within the parish.

WHEREAS the Claiborne Parish Police Jury is and always has been willing and able to make use of Claiborne Parish Hospital Service District No. Three in the management and administration of a parish wide hospital.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Claiborne Parish Policy Jury is willing to assist with the management and administration of the Homer Memorial Hospital thru the Claiborne Parish Hospital Service District No. Three if the Town of Homer is willing to convey said hospital to the Claiborne Parish Hospital Service District No. Three. This resolution does not express a desire to take any action nor does it express a dissatisfaction with the current administration of the hospital or the Town of Homer, it is merely a resolution notifying both entities that the Claiborne Parish Police Jury stands ready to make use of Claiborne Parish Hospital Service District No. Three in the event the Town of

Homer and the Homer Memorial Hospital believe this is the best alternative for the parish.

Upon motion by _____________ duly seconded by _____________ this motion was carried and officially adopted by the Claiborne Parish Police Jury meeting in a legally convened special called session on this 23^rd day of April, 2010.
